The Boca Raton Lightning (18-14) and the West Palm Beach Eagles (19-8) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Boca Raton Lightning that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 7-2 win at Miller Park.

Paul Menendez did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Boca Raton Lightning, reaching base two times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the eighth inning.

Despite the loss, the West Palm Beach Eagles' John Sabelle dominated the Boca Raton Lightning's batters, giving up two runs and striking out five.

Travis Bigelow got the win, running his season record to 2-1. Bigelow struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits.

Kevin Scranton (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
