The Gateway Grizzlies (46-34) and the Schaumburg Boomers (47-33) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Gateway Grizzlies that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 2-1 win at GCS Ballpark.
Tucker Jensen kept contact to a minimum, striking out six the Schaumburg Boomers batters. Jensen allowed one earned run, seven hits and three walks over six innings.
Despite the loss, the Schaumburg Boomers' Seth Webster dominated the Gateway Grizzlies' batters, giving up two runs and striking out five.
Webster ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year.
