Sunday was a great day for Michael Wing, as he hit two home runs to carry the Gateway Grizzlies (40-28) to an 8-5 victory over the Windy City ThunderBolts (25-42) at Standard Bank Stadium.

Aaron Newcomb picked up the win for the Gateway Grizzlies. Newcomb pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and three walks while striking out one.

Kyle Robinson racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He doubled in the third and eighth innings.

Jake Fisher (4-8) took the loss for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked one and struck out seven.

TJ Bennett, Tommy Richards, Wing and Michael Johnson helped lead the Gateway Grizzlies. They combined for eight hits and seven RBIs.
