Kyle Robinson drove in four runs, sparking the Windy City ThunderBolts (19-34) to a 5-3 victory over the Joliet Slammers (21-33) on Sunday at Silver Cross Field.
He homered in the first inning and singled in the seventh inning.Jake Gronsky reached base four times. He singled in the first and fifth innings.
Matt Crim put together a nice outing. The Windy City ThunderBolts managed just two hits off of Crim, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 3 2/3 innings of work.
Travis Tingle improved to 5-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered seven hits.
Colin Gotzon was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
