Christopher Epps went 2-3 as the Joliet Slammers (21-33) took home a 6-5 victory over the Windy City ThunderBolts (19-34) at Silver Cross Field on Friday.

Kyle Robinson racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He doubled in the third inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Daniel Cropper pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out four.

Sam Moore got the win, running his season record to 2-3. Moore struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.

Daniel Carela (1-1) took the loss for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
