Emmanuel Quiles was cold coming off the bench, but Quiles warmed up quickly as Quiles stroked a key pinch-hit single in the six to lead the Lake Erie Crushers (25-22) to a 3-1 win over the Washington Wild Things (29-18) on Wednesday at CONSOL Energy Park.
With the Lake Erie Crushers trailing by one, Quiles came to the plate and singled.
Juan Sanchez paced the Lake Erie Crushers at the plate. Sanchez went 3-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.
Todd Kibby's 10 strikeouts were enough to push the Lake Erie Crushers past the Washington Wild Things. Kibby allowed no earned runs, three hits and one walk over five innings.
