A walk-off single from Danny Gonzalez brought home the winning run for the Rockford Aviators (15-16) in a 9-8 victory over the Joliet Slammers (14-18) at Aviator Stadium on Sunday.

Gonzalez racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Rockford Aviators. He singled in the third, sixth, eighth, and ninth innings.

Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 17 runs and 25 hits, including zero extra base hits. There were 10 pitchers used in the game as the two managers searched for any way to finish it off.

Edgar Corcino reached base four times in the game for the Rockford Aviators. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the fourth and seventh innings.

Logan Odom recorded his third win of the year for the Rockford Aviators. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Sam Moore (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
