A walk-off double from Stewart Ijames brought home the winning run for the Washington Wild Things (18-8) in a 6-5 victory over the Joliet Slammers (11-15) in 11 innings at CONSOL Energy Park on Friday.

Ijames racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Washington Wild Things. He singled in the sixth inning and doubled in the eleventh inning.

Scott Kalamar had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the seventh inning, tripled in the ninth inning, and singled in the eleventh innings.

Alfonso Yevoli pitched lights out for the Washington Wild Things. Yevoli held the Joliet Slammers hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Jonathan Kountis recorded his first win of the year for the Washington Wild Things. Kountis struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Ryan Connolly couldn't get it done on the hill for the Joliet Slammers, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.

Kalamar, Daniel Poma and C.J. Beatty helped lead the Washington Wild Things. They combined for eight hits and four RBIs.
