The Yorkton Cardinals (18-25) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-2 to the Okotoks Dawgs (22-21) on Saturday.
While the Yorkton Cardinals led until the fifth inning, the Okotoks Dawgs worked their way back and took the lead on a sacrifice fly by Scott Hoyt.
Jordan Peterson racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Okotoks Dawgs. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.
Anthony Willeford got the win for the Okotoks Dawgs thanks to six strikeouts. Willeford allowed one earned run on eight hits and two walks over seven innings.
Clay Rideout (2-5) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
