Both the Medicine Hat Mavericks (24-18) and the Lethbridge Bulls (28-14) put runners aboard on Friday, but it was the Medicine Hat Mavericks that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 6-3 win at Athletic Park.

Jose Cruz racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He homered in the fifth inning.

Taylor Hutchison was solid at the plate for the Lethbridge Bulls. Hutchison went 2-2, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third and fifth innings.

Kalei Contrades recorded his third win of the year for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered eight hits.

Scott Cone was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked five and struck out three.
