The bats were busy at Tom Laing Park on Wednesday, and when the dust cleared the Weyburn Beavers (17-23) had an 11-10 win over the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets (16-23) in 14 innings.
The teams totaled 31 hits in the game.
Mike Gershman racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Weyburn Beavers. He singled in the second and fifth innings and doubled in the fourth and eleventh innings.
Ryan Johnson pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, six hits and two walks while striking out 10.
Matthew Kinney got the win, running his season record to 2-2. He allowed one run over 3 1/3 innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered two hits.
Brendan Erickson was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
