A walk-off double from Tanner Kirwer brought home the winning run for the Edmonton Prospects (16-25) in an 11-10 victory over the Okotoks Dawgs at Telus Field on Tuesday.
Kirwer racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Edmonton Prospects. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the eighth and ninth innings.
Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 21 runs and 28 hits, including zero extra base hits. Both bullpens were busy with 11 pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.
Bryce Shea improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Edmonton Prospects. He allowed one run over one inning. Shea struck out one, walked none and gave up two hits.
Jon Richards (4-4) took the loss for the Okotoks Dawgs (19-20). He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
