The Okotoks Dawgs (19-19) and the Edmonton Prospects (15-25) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Okotoks Dawgs that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out an 8-4 win at Seaman Stadium.
Ross Barker reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the second and seventh innings.
Vinny Martin had a hot bat for the Edmonton Prospects. Martin went 3-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth and seventh innings.
Liam Stroud improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Okotoks Dawgs. Stroud struck out two, walked one and gave up two hits.
Cory Duggan (1-5) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in 6 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out three.
