The bats were busy at Tom Laing Park on Thursday, and when the dust cleared the Weyburn Beavers (15-20) had a 10-8 win over the Swift Current Indians (23-14) in seven innings.
The teams totaled 23 hits in the game.
The Weyburn Beavers were led by a flawless day at the dish by Angel Concepcion, who went 3-3 against the Swift Current Indians' pitching. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the third and sixth innings.
Hunter Owen racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Swift Current Indians. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the seventh inning.
Scott Beever got his first win for the Weyburn Beavers despite allowing six runs over 4 2/3 innings. He struck out four, walked five and surrendered eight hits.
Peter Irvin (1-3) took the loss for the Swift Current Indians. He allowed six runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out one.
