The Medicine Hat Mavericks drop the Edmonton Prospects 6-5 behind Olson's early double

The Medicine Hat Mavericks (19-16) built an early lead against the Edmonton Prospects (14-21), scoring four runs in the first inning, en route to a 6-5 win on Tuesday at Athletic Park.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks scored in the first on a two-run double by Michael Olson, an RBI double by Devin Johnson, and an error.

Olson racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks.

Kenton Schroter brought the heat against the Edmonton Prospects during his outing. Schroter held the Edmonton Prospects hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Mackenzie Parlow reached base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Michael Bucci recorded his third win of the year for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered six hits.

Cory Duggan couldn't get it done on the mound for the Edmonton Prospects, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked two and struck out four.
