The Medicine Hat Mavericks make the most of 9 hits in 10-6 victory over the Edmonton Prospects

The Medicine Hat Mavericks (18-15) and the Edmonton Prospects (13-20) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Medicine Hat Mavericks that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 10-6 win at Telus Field.

Michael Olson racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Trevor Meleski had a hot bat for the Edmonton Prospects. Meleski went 4-5 and scored one run. He singled in the first, third, fifth, and seventh innings.

Andrew Geese got his first win for the Medicine Hat Mavericks despite allowing five runs over six innings. Geese struck out two, walked one and gave up 10 hits.

Emilio Foden ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked three and struck out five.
