Ben Douglas knocked in three runs, sparking the Moose Jaw Miller Express (17-13) to an 8-7 victory over the Medicine Hat Mavericks (17-15) on Friday at Athletic Park.

He homered in the seventh inning and singled in the fifth and ninth innings.

Andy Scott racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He singled in the second and sixth innings and homered in the eighth inning.

Josh Janzen improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He allowed three runs over two innings. Janzen struck out one, walked one and gave up three hits.

Kenton Schroter (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
