Peterson helps the Okotoks Dawgs down the Medicine Hat Mavericks 7-2

Jordan Peterson drove in three runs, sparking the Okotoks Dawgs (15-14) to a 7-2 victory over the Medicine Hat Mavericks (17-13) on Wednesday at Seaman Stadium.

He homered in the second inning and singled in the eighth innings.

Tyrell King handled the Medicine Hat Mavericks' lineup with ease, racking up six strikeouts. King allowed one earned run on six hits and two walks over six innings.

CJ DeDeaux put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He doubled in the fifth and eighth innings.

Travis McDonald recorded his first win of the year for the Okotoks Dawgs. McDonald struck out three, walked none and gave up two hits.

Jared Welander was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
