The Regina Red Sox (19-10) jumped out to an early lead on the Melville Millionaires (11-15) and captured a 13-1 victory on Wednesday at Pirie Field.

The game was decided quickly as the Regina Red Sox exerted their will early with seven runs in the first three innings.

An RBI single by Brian Frazier during the first inning and an error, , an RBI single by Steve Hazel, an RBI single by Frazier, a single by Anthony Pacheco, an RBI single by Pacheco, and a single by Greg Rogers in the second inning fueled the Regina Red Sox's offense early.

The Melville Millionaires couldn't slow down Frazier, who paced the Regina Red Sox with five hits.

Bennett Oliver had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the first inning, tripled in the third inning, and doubled in the fifth inning.

Kevin Hand recorded his fifth win of the year for the Regina Red Sox. He allowed one run over six innings. Hand struck out three, walked none and gave up eight hits.

Blake Evetts (2-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked none and struck out four.
