Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Monday as the Medicine Hat Mavericks (17-12) outscored the Weyburn Beavers (8-16) 15-8.

The two teams combined for 22 hits in the game.

Six runs in the first three innings helped the Medicine Hat Mavericks blow out the Weyburn Beavers. and a home run by Bryan Arthur in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Medicine Hat Mavericks.

Arthur racked up six RBIs on one hit for the Medicine Hat Mavericks.

Michael Bucci improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered eight hits.

Roman Lorentz couldn't get it done on the hill for the Weyburn Beavers, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked four and struck out two.
