Jose Cruz went 3-3 at the plate, helping the Medicine Hat Mavericks (16-12) to a 5-3 victory over the Weyburn Beavers (8-15) on Sunday at Athletic Park.

He homered in the first inning, singled in the sixth inning, and doubled in the eighth inning.
