Shumpert allows no runs to lead the Regina Red Sox past the Edmonton Prospects 12-7

Tyler Shumpert kept the Edmonton Prospects (11-13) off the board during his 6 2/3 innings of work and the Regina Red Sox (14-8) beat the Edmonton Prospects, 12-7.

Shumpert struck out six and allowed three walks and one hit.

The Edmonton Prospects were ahead early but they ultimately surrendered the lead for good. The Edmonton Prospects led until the sixth inning, but the Regina Red Sox took the lead back on an RBI single by Dylan Blaha.

Brian Frazier racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Regina Red Sox. He homered in the first inning and singled in the sixth and ninth innings.

Noah Gapp (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in five innings, walked two and struck out five.
