Blaha helps the Regina Red Sox down the Weyburn Beavers 10-7

The Regina Red Sox (12-7) beat the Weyburn Beavers (6-10) 10-7 on Thursday at Tom Laing Park behind Dylan Blaha, who had three RBIs.

He tripled in the second innings and singled in the third inning.

Scott Beever was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Regina Red Sox batters and allowing zero runs.

Javy Marticorena racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Weyburn Beavers. He doubled in the first innings, homered in the fifth inning, and singled in the ninth inning.

Labradford Griffis recorded his second win for the Regina Red Sox even though he allowed five runs over seven innings. Griffis struck out seven, walked one and gave up seven hits.

John Pistulka ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed 10 runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out four.
