The Okotoks Dawgs (8-12) took home a marathon 10-7 victory over the Edmonton Prospects (11-12) on Tuesday at Telus Field.
With the score tied at seven, Connor Crane came to the plate and singled, plating Matt Lloyd.
The Edmonton Prospects couldn't slow down Jake Simmerman, who paced the Okotoks Dawgs with five hits. He tripled in the fourth inning, singled in the eighth and tenth innings, and doubled in the eleventh inning.
Trevor Meleski paced the Edmonton Prospects at the plate. Meleski went 3-6, drove in one and scored two runs. He tripled in the sixth inning and singled in the fifth and tenth innings.
Jon Richards got the win, running his season record to 3-2. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered no hits.
Zak Horton (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed no runs.
