Both the Medicine Hat Mavericks (10-5) and the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets (4-9) put runners aboard on Sunday, but it was the Medicine Hat Mavericks that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 10-5 win at Athletic Park.

Michael Forgione racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He singled in the third and sixth innings.

Jake Moore was solid at the plate for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets. Moore went 4-5, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the first, third, and sixth innings.

Jon Rand got his first win for the Medicine Hat Mavericks despite allowing five runs over six innings. He struck out none, walked two and surrendered 12 hits.

Jake Hein ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked six, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
