Brandon Vaughn went 2-5, helping the Regina Red Sox (9-5) to a 6-5 victory over the Melville Millionaires (5-8) on Thursday at Currie Field.
He doubled in the second inning and singled in the third inning.Nathan Falkenstine struck out six, paving the way for a the Regina Red Sox win. Falkenstine allowed one earned run on seven hits and one walk over seven innings.
It was a good day at the plate for the Melville Millionaires' Zach Holley. Holley went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first, third, and eighth innings.
Steven Bunnell (2-1) took the loss for the Melville Millionaires. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked two and struck out five.
