Both the Okotoks Dawgs (2-7) and the Moose Jaw Miller Express (4-3) put runners aboard on Thursday, but it was the Okotoks Dawgs that were able to take advantage, pulling out an 8-5 win at Ross Wells Park.

Connor Crane racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Okotoks Dawgs. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the first and eighth innings.

The Moose Jaw Miller Express were led by Derek Cornell's hitting. Cornell went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the first and eighth innings.

Jake Shaw got the win, running his season record to 1-1. Shaw struck out two, walked two and gave up one hit.

Connor Keating (0-1) took the loss for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
