The Regina Red Sox were led by a flawless day at the dish by Hans Ask, who went 3-3 against the Yorkton Cardinals' pitching. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the second and sixth innings.
The Yorkton Cardinals had no answer for Labradford Griffis, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Griffis held the Yorkton Cardinals hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Despite the loss, the Yorkton Cardinals' Jeff Pool dominated the Regina Red Sox's batters, giving up three runs and striking out six.
