The Yorkton Cardinals (2-1) beat the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets (1-2) 13-5 on Sunday thanks to a six-run ninth inning.

The Yorkton Cardinals scored in the ninth on a sacrifice fly by Austin Drummonds, a hit by pitch, , , , an RBI single by Stetson McCollin, and an RBI single by McCollin.

Nick Gotta did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Yorkton Cardinals, reaching base four times. He scored three runs and had one RBI.

Clay Rideout put together a nice outing. The Saskatoon Yellow Jackets managed just two hits off of Rideout, who allowed one earned run, walked four and struck out six during his 5 2/3 innings of work.

Court Iorg racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets. He tripled in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Nick Stobbe (0-1) took the loss for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
