Jonathan Tasis went 2-4, sparking the Weyburn Beavers (3-5) to a 4-2 victory over the Regina Red Sox (6-3) on Friday at Tom Laing Park.

He singled in the fifth and sixth innings.

Sean Stanislawski's nine strikeouts were enough to push the Weyburn Beavers past the Regina Red Sox. Stanislawski allowed one earned run, two hits and five walks over five innings.

Steve Hazel was solid at the plate for the Regina Red Sox. Hazel went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Nathan Falkenstine allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Falkenstine (0-1) took the loss for the Regina Red Sox.
