Mitch Gasbarro collected three hits, sparking the Quincy Gems (36-20) to an 8-3 victory over the Hannibal Cavemen (23-33) on Thursday at Clemens Field.

Jake Busiek racked up eight strikeouts in the the Quincy Gems win. Busiek allowed three earned runs on seven hits and one walk over seven innings.

James Ball (0-6) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
