The West Virginia Miners (35-20) needed 11 innings on Wednesday to take down the Terre Haute Rex (34-21) 4-3 at Bob Warn Field at Sycamore Stad.
With the score tied at three, Rob Youngblood came to the plate and singled, plating Taylor Kellner.
Quinton Yocom brought the heat against the Terre Haute Rex during his outing. Yocom gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out eight during his four innings of work.
Despite the loss, the Terre Haute Rex's Brad Lombard dominated the West Virginia Miners' batters, giving up three runs and striking out six.
Kolin Stanley got the win, running his season record to 2-0. Stanley struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits.
James Doubet was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
