The Champion City Kings managed just two hits off of the the Richmond RiverRats' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out three during his five innings of work.
Alex Dandridge pitched lights out for the Champion City Kings. Dandridge gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his two innings of work.
Chad Whitmer improved to 2-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Richmond RiverRats. He allowed one run over 3 2/3 innings. Whitmer struck out four, walked one and gave up six hits.
Jacob Rodrigue (1-4) took the loss for the Champion City Kings. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked six, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
