Ronnie Dawson drove in five runs, sparking the Chillicothe Paints (26-10) to a 7-2 victory over the West Virginia Miners (24-15) on Saturday at VA Memorial Stadium.

Lance Elder's seven strikeouts were enough to push the Chillicothe Paints past the West Virginia Miners. Elder allowed one earned run on five hits and no walks over seven innings.

David Martinelli put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the West Virginia Miners. He doubled in the first inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Andrew Bramley was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked three and struck out two.
