A walk-off single from Kyle Chontos brought home the winning run for the Lorain County Ironmen (12-19) in a 5-4 victory over the Danville Dans (19-15) at The Pipe Yard on Thursday.

Chontos racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Lorain County Ironmen. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the fourth, seventh, and ninth innings.

J T Brubaker pitched 7 2/3 innings and allowed two earned runs, six hits and three walks while striking out four.

Cody Gardner had two extra-base hits for the Danville Dans. He doubled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Matt Ellenbest recorded his first win of the year for the Lorain County Ironmen. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Chase Thurston (0-1) took the loss for the Danville Dans. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed one run.
