Three first-inning runs helped the West Virginia Miners (19-12) to a 5-4 win over the Lorain County Ironmen (11-18) at The Pipe Yard on Tuesday.

The West Virginia Miners scored in the first on an error and a two-run single by Taylor Kellner.

Quinton Yocom recorded his second win of the year for the West Virginia Miners. He allowed three runs over six innings. Yocom struck out five, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Logan Landon was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
