Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Monday as the West Virginia Miners (18-12) outscored the Lorain County Ironmen (11-17) 11-8.

The teams totaled 22 hits in the game.

Grant Massey went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the West Virginia Miners. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.

The Lorain County Ironmen had no answer for Dalton Thompson, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Lorain County Ironmen managed just three hits off of Thompson, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out five during his six innings of work.

Taylor Emody racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Lorain County Ironmen. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the second and fourth innings.

Devin Daugherty (0-2) took the loss for the Lorain County Ironmen. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
