He doubled in the fifth inning and tripled in the sixth inning.The Springfield Sliders were led by a flawless day at the dish by Dane Sauer, who went 3-3 against the Quincy Gems' pitching. He singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.
Jake Busiek improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Quincy Gems. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out seven, walked three and surrendered five hits.
Chris Powell (0-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
