Ross Kivett went 2-4 as the Orleans Firebirds (4-1) took home a 6-5 victory over the Chatham Anglers (2-2) at Eldredge Park on Sunday.

Connor Joe racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Chatham Anglers. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Josh Sborz improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Orleans Firebirds. He allowed one run over 2 1/3 innings. Sborz struck out three, walked none and gave up one hit.

Mitch Merten ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
