A superb effort by Colton Wood led the British Columbia (7-1) to a 5-0 win in seven innings over the Ontario (4-4) on Friday at Amede Roy.
Wood put together a nice outing. The Ontario managed just one hit off of Wood, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out 10 during his seven innings of work.
The British Columbia came out swinging, scoring five runs in the first inning to jump ahead of the Ontario early.
Alec Miller (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
