The Bourne Braves (2-1) rolled over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks 9-2 on Thursday at McKeon Park after a five-run rally in the eighth inning.
The Hyannis Harbor Hawks (1-2) jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The Hyannis Harbor Hawks were ahead until the sixth inning, but the Bourne Braves would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on an RBI single by Tyler Kuresa.
Trent Gilbert racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Bourne Braves. He singled in the second, sixth, and eighth innings.
The Hyannis Harbor Hawks had no answer for Cody Livingston, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Livingston gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his 3 2/3 innings of work.
Mike Gunn (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
