An awesome effort by Lukas Schiraldi hoisted the Chatham Anglers (1-0) to a 6-0 win over the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (0-1) on Tuesday at Veterans Field.
Schiraldi kept the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox off the board during his seven innings of work. Schiraldi allowed two hits, no walks and struck out six.
The offense exploded for the the Chatham Anglers in the second. In the inning the Chatham Anglers scored four runs.
Dante Flores racked up four RBIs on one hit for the Chatham Anglers. He homered in the second inning.
Daniel Savas (0-1) took the loss for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
