The Matsu Miners (1-0) beat the Anchorage Bucs (0-1) 3-2 but needed 10 innings to do so on Monday at Mulcahy Field.

With the score tied at two in the tenth inning, Nick La Face came to the plate and singled, scoring Gio Brusa.

La Face reached base three times in the game for the Matsu Miners. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the ninth and tenth innings.

Mitch Warner brought the heat against the Anchorage Bucs during his outing. The Anchorage Bucs managed just one hit off of Warner, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his four innings of work.

Robert Tasin couldn't get it done on the hill for the Anchorage Bucs, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
