The Harwich Mariners (21-18) built an early lead against the Chatham Anglers (26-14), scoring four runs in the first inning, en route to a 5-3 win on Thursday at Veterans Field.

Aaron Bummer improved to 5-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Harwich Mariners. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out four, walked three and surrendered seven hits.

Matthew Gage ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
