The Vienna River Dogs (23-21) and the Baltimore Redbirds (25-19) both had scoring chances on Monday, but it was the Vienna River Dogs that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-5 win at James Madison High School.

Demetrius Jennings led the Vienna River Dogs' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He singled in the fifth innings.

Luke Czajkowski was solid at the plate for the Baltimore Redbirds. Czajkowski went 3-4 and scored two runs. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the second and sixth innings.

Denis Mikush improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Vienna River Dogs. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Eric Thomas couldn't get it done on the mound for the Baltimore Redbirds, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed one run.
