An awesome effort by Daniel Barfield spurred the Pineville Pioneers (13-17) to a 3-0 win in seven innings over the Carolina Chaos (7-16) on Tuesday at Jack Hughes Park.

Barfield got the win for the Pineville Pioneers thanks to 10 strikeouts. The Pineville Pioneers' pitcher gave up just two hits over seven shutout innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the Pineville Pioneers' Levi Wright. Wright went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.

Andrew Moralez ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
