The Pineville Pioneers (10-11) didn't put up much of a fight on Tuesday, as the Ballantyne Smokies (15-10) cruised to a blowout 15-7 win in eight innings at Jack Hughes Park.

The Ballantyne Smokies scored four runs in the seventh on , an RBI single by Rutger Luebke, and a two-run single by Luke Gibbs.

Tyler Chadwick did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Ballantyne Smokies, reaching base three times. He scored three runs and had one RBI.

Austin Bryant racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Pineville Pioneers. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the second and seventh innings.

Andrew Mauldin recorded his first win for the Ballantyne Smokies even though he allowed five runs over two innings. He struck out one, walked three and surrendered five hits.

Corey Roberts ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out four.
