R.J. Dennard went 1-3 and hit a home run, helping the Baltimore Redbirds (16-10) to a 2-0 victory over the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts (9-17) on Friday at Blair Stadium.

The Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts had no answer for LaMonte Wade Jr., who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts managed just two hits off of Wade Jr., who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Joshua Kisamore allowed two earned runs, six hits and no walks while striking out four over 6 2/3 innings of work.

Nick Grant recorded his first win of the year for the Baltimore Redbirds. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Kisamore couldn't get it done on the mound for the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts, taking a loss.
