Sunday was a great day for Michael Boyle, as Boyle threw a shutout to carry the Bethesda Big Train (21-7) to a 1-0 victory over the Presstman Cardinals (12-19) at Shirley Povich Field in seven innings.

The Bethesda Big Train's Boyle kept the Presstman Cardinals off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on three hits while striking out seven.

Jacob Enterlin couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Presstman Cardinals, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed one run.
