The Alberta make the most of 8 hits in 5-2 victory over the British Columbia

Both the Alberta (2-2) and the British Columbia (1-3) put runners aboard on Saturday, but it was the Alberta that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 5-2 win at Stade Napol��an-Fontaine.

Nicole Luchanski was solid at the plate for the Alberta. Luchanski went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the second innings.

Paige McDonnell was solid at the plate for the British Columbia. McDonnell went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the second, fourth, and fifth innings.

Heather Northcott improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Alberta. He allowed two runs over seven innings. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered 13 hits.

Nikki Boyd couldn't get it done on the bump for the British Columbia, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
